Connections Ministry Assistant
Principal Function:
The Connections Ministry Assistant’s primary functions are to assist in the assimilation of newcomers and oversee the continued engagement of existing church members.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Maintain all church membership records.
2. Track member engagement, and alert ministerial staff when church members are disconnected.
3. Manage the church newcomer prospect list.
4. Collect all completed connection cards and enter the newcomer information into the prospect list.
5. Make initial contact with church prospects by Tuesday, after they have completed a Connect Card.
6. Schedule opportunities for prospects to communicate with staff and lay leaders.
7. Track prospect engagement.
8. Coordinate and schedule Next Steps Classes.
9. Facilitate prospects joining Next Steps Classes, Sunday School Classes, Bible Studies, Discipleship Groups, and Service Opportunities.
10. Serve as the office receptionist by answering the phone and assisting office visitors.
11. Schedule weekly/monthly homebound visitation for ministers and deacons.
12. Assist the Office Administrator with clerical and other administrative tasks (examples – offering, bulletin, prayer list, Sunday School attendance and materials, yearbook).
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
II. Expected Qualifications
Compensation
•Compensation will be $15 per hour
Schedule
•Schedule to be coordinated with the supervisor
•You will be expected to work 24 hours per week
•There will be a 90-day probationary period during which time the employee and supervisor will continually evaluate the quality and quantity of work, attendance, punctuality, ability to work with others, and initiative and acceptance of responsibility for assignments.
